MOLAB Italy: LABDIA (IT)

The Laboratorio di Diagnostica per i beni culturali di Spoleto (LabDia) is a public authorities association as Regione dell’Umbria, Ministero per i Beni e le Attività culturali (MIBACT), Comune di Spoleto and Università degli Studi di Perugia. The LabDia carries out a diagnostic, evaluation and research service to support all the activities of cultural heritage safeguard and it works to preparation of models and preventive services and planned manutention of cultural assets.

The objectives of LabDia, concerning both the research and services, are the followings:

promotion and development of diagnostic analyses and evaluation of cultural heritage conservation state;

predisposition of evaluation, monitoring and preservation methodologies and models;

organization of activities concerning planned and preventive conservation and first aid both “ordinary” and in an emergency situation.
