At the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, Italy, a seminar entitled “Il Divisionismo. Le tecniche e il restauro” will be held on September 25th, at the end of the MOLAB access.
The analyses were conducted on 4 paintings of the National Gallery collection, chosen on the basis of typological features and different chronological and thematic settings:
Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Prato fiorito, 1900- 1903
Gaetano Previati, Mammina, 1908
Enrico Lionne, Fuori Porta San Giovanni, 1911
Plinio Nomellini, La sorella minore, 1911.
The seminar will present the techniques and the results of the surveys on the paintings.
